About me
Rachel founded Foley Law, a firm commonly known as KC Bankruptcy, where she devotes over 90% of her professional time to consumer bankruptcy law. Her education primarily focused on sciences and medicine, but it was the concept of debt freedom presented in Deuteronomy 15:1-2 that drew her to the ever-evolving sphere of bankruptcy law.
Rachel's mission is to achieve debt relief for her clients, thus granting them a fresh start. She illustrates this concept by pointing to Walt Disney, who filed bankruptcy in the Western District of Missouri, a move that may have paved the way for the creation of Mickey Mouse. Rachel's own Mickey Mouse collection and philosophy serve to remind her clients that bankruptcy is a beginning, not an end.
She specializes in handling consumer Chapter 7 and 13 cases across both Kansas and Missouri, and persistently participates in conferences to sharpen her abilities and offer her clients the most effective defense against creditors. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge and expertise has brought her into the limelight at both local and national levels in the bankruptcy realm.
Rachel has been recognized with the K. Colleen Nunnelly Award by the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the 2012 & 2013 Best of The Bar Award, and the Missouri Bar Association Pro Bono Hall of Fame. She frequently delivers talks to peers nationwide about the incorporation of technology in bankruptcy law.
Her deep passion and commitment to safeguard her clients defines her as a true bankruptcy attorney, rather than just an attorney who practices bankruptcy law.
