Krista D’Amelio joined NACBA in April 2017 as Director of Government Affairs and Communications. D’Amelio's work focuses on strengthening relationships and increasing advocacy reach with state and federal elected officials, government agencies, and allies to enhance their understanding and support of NACBA’s priorities. D’Amelio also directs NACBA’s internal and external communications.

Prior to joining NACBA, D’Amelio served as Global Government Affairs Coordinator at Airlines for America (A4A) where she assisted the lobbying capabilities of the association on transportation policies relevant to the airline industry. Previously, she was the Associate Director of College Partner Relations at the Center for Student Opportunity (CSO) where she helped first-generation students on the road to and through college.

A native of Connecticut, D’Amelio began her career in the Office of Lieutenant Governor and on gubernatorial campaigns. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and a Masters of Science in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
